My Brain Is Bruised But Not Broken

Update on my status:
I have been off my meds. for over a year or so now. Things are not going well for me mentally. I am now in the process of seeking out a new doctor who will be able to start fresh and with a new perspective on my case. I have lost all of my ability to create and enjoy the things that I am passionate about such as my knitting and crafting. I will try and post as much as possible. Hugs

INDIAN RIVER PATTERN

Here's how to knit this super fast and easy poncho:
This poncho is worked in three panels.

1st panel: With US 13 needles and any variegated (preferably hand dyed yarn) Bulky
CO-30 sts. wk. st.st. for 25" BO
2nd panel: CO 50 sts. wk exactly the same as panel 1.
3rd panel: CO 30 sts. rep. as panel 1.

After you have finished all 3 panels you will now seam them up in the same order 1,2,3.
Seaming instructions:
Starting at bottom (pick an end) and on the RS sew panel 1 to panel 2 for 12" then leave 8" opening for armhole, then cont. sewing to the end of the panel. Rep. this with the other panel. Sewing panel 3 to panel 2.

Now with the right side facing you, pick up 110 sts. across bottom portion which is the part where you sewed 12" tog.
Work st.st. for rows 1-4
Eyelet rows are worked throughout rows 5-7 except on the purl side do everything purl wise.
Eyelet Row 5- Purl 1, p2tog, yo, *p4, p2tog, yo, rep. from * to end.
Eyelet Row 6- K1, k2tog, yo, *k4, k2tog, yo, rep. from * to end.
Eyelet Row 7- K 1, k2tog, yo, *k4, k2tog, yo, rep. from * to end.
Row 8- Knit even.
BO.

Top (collar portion)
With wrong side facing you, pick up 110 sts. and work approx. 8"-10" or about 30 rows.
Next you are going to knit the eyelet row as you did for the bottom portion of the poncho.
Knit one row even.

Now you are going to make your fringes. (that's why you knitted the eyelet rows, the fringes will be knotted through each eyelet. I made my fringes longer on the bottom then the top, I also braided some of my fringes on the top (collar) area. Simple and easy and ready to wear.
I made my fringes with 10 strands of yarn each.

Here we go again, this time medication free, well almost. Paxil is still on the plate and thank goodness for that. I am starting to feel like I am part of the human race. I will be trying to post and create as much as possible considering I am once again without a computer. I don't know what it is with me and electonics. UPDATE AND DATELESS

OK, so I have been to see my wonderful doctor. I had a complete work up, EKG, urine and full blood screening for who knows what. My blood pressure was high for the first time ever. I know those who know me find that hard to believe. That is that my blood pressure has never been high before, but it hasn't. Found out that I have a urinary tract infection which completely surprised me, no symptoms are present that I am aware of. Got med's for that. Took a bucket full of all my medications that I am currently on and she did some re-evaluating and took me off some of them and put me on some new ones. She is not the doctor who originally put me on these med's to begin with. It was my neurologist. I am canceling him out, I have realized there have been many errors made in my medication management that are and could of been if I continued to stay on them very detrimental to my life as a whole. I think, I know part of what I have been going through had to do with the enormous amounts of med's that were being mixed and combined inharmoniously throughout every vein in my body. No chance to even harmonize a simple ballet. I am sure of one thing, I am in the right medical hands from this moment on.

DOCTOR DOCTOR, GIVE ME THE NEWS...

I have a doctor's appointment today that can and will be life altering, hopefully. I cannot continue to go on this way in my life. The depression is off the charts and the med's are immense. I am on every type of medication available for DEPRESSION, TOURETTES, ADHD, and even things I have not yet been diagnosed with. You would think that I would be happy by now. I hate complaining and I am not in any way shape or form looking or seeking for your sympathy. I hate sympathy. I think it is pathetic. Especially when there are so many others out there in dyer straights. I know that there is hope for me. I feel so blah. I can't even think forward. I don't have a creative bone in my body and everything I attempt to create, fails miserably. I lost that UMP. I am sad that I feel so sad, I am unsure why. If I could just get my finger on where all this is going maybe I could appreciate the reasons for this stage in my life. I have every reason to feel blessed. The blessed list outweighs the doom feeling I have yet here I am feeling like a lost soul in a sea of total confusion. I will find my way, I always do. I think this is the first time I have ever actually blogged about my depression so candidly. I will see how things go today. My appointment is at 2:00 with my GP. I love her and know she is on track with the who, what, and why, I am who I am. Fixing it is just not that easy. Till then. Fingers crossed and tears held back until I open my mouth at my doctors office.

De-Funked

OK, so I'm not feeling 100%, but I am feeling much better. I am in the de-funking stage. I actually felt the best I've felt this whole week. Getting all my knitting done and the ornaments and swap package all finished on time for once. I will post pictures of what I am making after I send it out, it's a secret. We aren't letting our swappettes know who is sending the gifts. I love secret swaps the best. I love the stalking part. You can really learn a lot about a person through their posts, pictures, etc. Muwahhhhhhhh

We Got The FUNK...

Yes it got me, YUCK, I feel like total crap. The one time I left my house, wouldn't you know, it found me. It hit me like a brick wall. I knew the second that my throat started having that cutting feeling that I had been GOTTEN. I feel so vulnerable and weak. I guess I shouldn't complain it could be worse it could be H1N1 better known as the SWINE FLU. So I'll just have to sit here and knit until I feel better. SIGH

Whatever you celebrate is irrelevant, the holidays are upon us whether your ready or not. I say the same thing every year, "I'm gonna get everything done on time this year". It never happens, but the thought is there. I have so many gifts to make for my friends and family. I have so many ideas swirling around my head. I know everyone is busy and some more then others but this is the time of year to kinda look back on what worked for you this year and what didn't. I like to review my life at this time each year. Not like a report card, but kinda like a self help reflection period. It is important to take time to feel, smell, touch, see and yes hear that little (BIG) voice in your head and listen for once. So just for the sake of the holiday, give yourself the gift of you, just you. Your thoughts, your hopes, your dreams, who knows they may be coming true right under your nose.

2nd ANNUAL ORNAMENT SWAP

Just one last swap for this year. With the holidays upon us, were all really busy. So I thought we should do our “2nd Annual Ornament Swap”. Last years swap was wonderful and we all have beautiful handmade ornaments to place on our trees or around our homes. I will need at least 2 Mod’s to sign up to organize this swap. I realize now why ADHD BOY wanted me to knit him clogs. He wanted to be able to slide across our floors like a ban gee. He couldn't wait for his clogs to dry for better slip and sliding power. This kid is hilarious. Not only does he slide across our floors but he does what I call trick sliding. He actually does twists and turns in the slide actions. This sounds crazy, but I must admit he is having a blast. Now to finish ADD BOY'S clogs. I'm sure he'll get in on the action when his are finished.

Wreath Addiction

Today it was all about wreath's. I just got started and I couldn't stop. I love making these festive treasures. They can be shown in many different ways and used for many different holidays, simply by adding the proper embellishment for the season at hand. Here are just a couple that I made this afternoon using the bouquet of flowers that my mom received for her birthday yesterday. I also used things that I had laying around my house. The results are impressive and the final outcome is rewarding.

Shoe makers shoes...

You know the old saying about the shoemakers shoes with holes in it. I have been making clogs for two of my sons this week and boy is this taking me forever. I used to whip these clogs out by the day. Now it seems as if I am in slow mode and visualization is failing me lately. I have completed Rands clogs and he is so happy with them, now I am knitting Ricco's two at a time method. Does it really make a difference, I don't think so, but at least they will both be done at the same time. I have taken pictures of the progress, how boring is that. Oh and might I add that they both wear a size 13 shoe, so hmmmmmmmmmm, maybe I am not as slow as I thought. Will hopefully be finished with the clogs today. I know Nico is probably going to see them and want a pair as well. Size 13 here I come.

BOILED ROTTEN

Boiled rotten is just a fun play on words for boiled felt. I love felted anything. Especially if it was on purpose. Here are some of the newest pieces I have designed for my line of jewelry made with boiled felt. I have been working on these pieces in slow motion. I enjoy using all my leftover pieces of scrap felt to design my pieces. Tutorial coming.

Head Bang-er

I designed the HEAD BANG-ER with the 70's in mind. Fads come and go. Head gear never completely goes out of style, just the way we wear them. So hopefully I have come up with a fun way to wear this headgear that will never go out of style. I hope you find this a unique way to keep your bangs under control with my latest design HEAD BANG-ER.

What you'll need will vary slightly depending on which variation of the headband you are going to make. There are 3 different styles/versions to this headband. The size will be determined by who you are making this headband for. Another words, the size of the head.
*The pattern given is the instructions for the standard adult size headband.

What you'll need:
4 US and 9 US straights or circulars, *5 Double pointed needles 4 US (DPN's) If you are doing the pick up stitches on both ends to create a wider tie on. Otherwise 2 Double pointed needles 4 US are needed for simple I-cords.
Yarn used is whichever you choose that will suit your taste. Gauge is not really an issue with this pattern.
*I used Comfort yarn for the MC and Fjord yarn for the CC.
Darning needle
*Elastic "ouch less" bands. These are needed for method #2
*T-pins or straight pins for seaming.
Here's How:
With US 4 and Contrasting Color (CC)
Cast on 7 stitches. (Making sure to leave a long enough tail for seaming your headband)

Knit
Knit
Knit
Knit

Change to US 9 needles and Main Color (MC) *DO NOT CUT THE CC YARN. You are going to run the yarn not in use up the RS edge throughout the pattern. Making sure to twist color not in use over the color in use.
       5. Knit into f,b&f of every stitch. (21 sts.)
       6. *P1, k3 rep from * ending with p1.
       7. *K1, p3 rep from * ending with k1.
       8-12 Repeat rows 6 and 7, ending on WS row.
Change back to US 4 and CC.
       13. K3tog to end. (7 sts.)
       14-16 Knit
Repeat rows 5-16 another 4 times more, or until desired length. On the last repeat, make sure to knit 4 rows as in rows 1-4 in the beginning. Bind off.

Blocking can be done simply by spraying your headband with a water bottle or using a damp towel and placing it over the headband.
Seaming is an option.
I have 3 different variations for this headband:

Leaving it open without seaming the headband together horizontally. If you are going to use this method, you are then going to pick up stitches at both ends to make your I-cord ties. With 2 DPN's and CC pick up 3 sts. evenly on both ends of headband. Work i-cord until you achieve the desired length, that would be the length long enough to tie your headband together in the back.
Seaming it together horizontally. With your large rubber (ouch less) band, lay it inside the headband horizontally and pin the CO and BO ends together. Now with the MC yarn seam the headband together making sure not to catch the rubber band when sewing. Sew in any loose ends and your done.
Seaming your headband together as if you knit it in the round. If you do this method, make sure you have made it large enough to join and still fit your head.

Grid Rock

Grid Rocks are a rebirth of my “Your Panties Rock”. Just another way to embellish and redo something old to something new.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Fishnet Stockings
Felting needles *felt puncher (optional)
Roven wool *any color/colors you desire
Scissors

HERE'S HOW:

Take your rocks one at a time and slip them into the stocking, making sure to place them all the way down to the foot area if you are making more then a couple of Grid Rocks. After each rock tie the stockings around each individual rock.
When all the rocks are tied and secure, place the stocking filled rocks into your washing machine on the hottest cycle you have, you may need to repeat the wash cycle more then once. When you are satisfied with your results make sure to complete the spin cycle to get all the excess water out.
Cut the rocks out of the stockings, being careful not to cut away the grid. If you only want the grid on one side then pull the grid off the side like least. Use your scissors to trim excess stocking away.
Lay your rocks outside in a sunny are with the concrete for quicker drying power. The cement absorbs the moisture quicker.
When your rocks are completely dry, it is now time to design.
Depending on your design, start off with a small peas size amount of wool and roll between your hands, to create a pea size ball. Then place wool over your first grid square and with felting needle start poking away. Being careful not to poke yourself. They are sharp little boogers.
When you have completed all the squares, take your felting punch and punch away. It makes the wool more secure and stable.
I then take my Grid Rocks and with some liquid soap and hot hot water I soak them in a bowl for an hour or so.
Take your Grid rocks out of bowl and trim the excess wool to refine your squares. You can now press on them to remove the excess water out and then once again repeat Step 4 again.
The options to decorate are endless.

I took an old shower curtain and cut it into long strips going with the flow of the grain and then tied them all together to create a wonderful ball of fantastic fiber. I am now going to attempt to knit this into a bag.

Thanks to someone with the capacity to utilize the left side of their brain sent this post to me:
Would this be a good time to mention that if you had cut within an inch or two of the side going from left to right, then cut an inch higher going from right to left to within an inch or two of the other side, then repeat going in a zig zag across the curtain to the end, you might end up with a continuous strip of plastic curtain?
This from another smart left thinking person:
The shower curtain, whether new or used, would be easier to lay out; with a good rotary cutter, one could fold and cut it with fewer passes.*
“IT'S CURTAINS”

Make sure no one is taking a shower when you decide to reuse your shower curtain.
DISCLAIMER: I know this is not a new idea, but the plastic bags don’t usually come in all these great colors and the prep work when using a shower curtain is much less time consuming. The results are virtually the same. Hugs, Gail

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

3 shower curtains or plastic tablecloths. (Fabric of either two will work as well) two for knitting and one for the lining, depending on the size you are going to make your bag.
scissors
powder
US 11 straights and US 13 circular knitting needles
darning needle
1 stitch marker
You will need to add straps one or two is totally up to you.
grommets

HERE'S HOW:
With US 11 straight needles CO 50 stitches

Rows 1-10 Knit stockinette stitch. (Knit one row, purl next row, continue until you have 10 rows in all.)

Then you are going to change to your US 13 circular needles and pick up approx 100 stitches working from your stitch marker, P/U stitches completely around the base, which is now going to be the bottom of your bag.

When you have all your stitches picked up you are going to join as to work in the round. Continuing in stockinette stitch for approx 10"-12" depending on how big you want your shower curtain bag to be. Or depending how much shower curtain yarn you have.
Once you have knit your desired length and or size of your bag BO all your stitches.
Now for the top portion of your shower curtain bag you can use the top portion of the shower curtain that usually has grommets. That way you can make a drawstring closure for that extra touch.
Straps can be made using the same technique as your bag or you can add whatever type of strap you please.

Rx: “Booby Trap”
Difficulty: Medium
Use With: 2 balls of Fjord yarn (in your skin color), 2 shades of Roving Wool (one color for areola and one color for the nipples),
Special Items Needed: Needle felting needle, nipple ring(s)
Special Techniques: knitting in the round, decreasing, crochet, felting

2. 2 balls of FJORD yarn in your choice of “skin” color. Click on the

Directions: You will make 2 boobs exactly the same.
FIRST BOOB
CO 82 sts. and join (making sure not to have any of your sts twisted) to work in the round. Make sure that you place a SM (stitch marker) at the beginning of the round.
If using DPNs, separate the 82 sts evenly onto 4 of the DPNs.
Rounds 1-6: Knit (Working in the round, knitting every round of stitches results in stockinette stitch.)
Round 7 (decrease round): K8, K2tog to end of round (72 sts) Rounds 8-12: Knit
Round 13 (decrease round): K7, K2tog to end of round (64 sts) Rounds 14-17: Knit
Round 18 (decrease round): K6, K2tog to end of round (56 sts) Rounds 19-21: Knit
Round 22 (decrease round): K5, K2tog to end of round (48 sts) Rounds 23 & 24: Knit
Round 25 (decrease round): K4, K2tog to end of round (40 sts) Rounds 26, 28, 30 & 32: Knit

SIDE STRAPS (MAKE 2)
Make sure you leave 4"-6" of tail on both ends of chain sts.
With your crochet hook, holding 2 strands of yarn together Ch. 60sts.
NECK STRAPS (MAKE 2)
Make sure you leave 4"-6" of tail on both ends of chain sts.
With your crochet hook, holding 2 strands of yarn together Ch. 80 sts.
SET YOUR 4 STRAPS ASIDE.
DO NOT SEW THEM ONTO THE BOOBS UNTIL AFTER YOU HAVE FELTED YOUR
BOOBS TO THE APPROPRIATE SIZE NEEDED.
NOW IT IS TIME TO FELT UP YOUR BOOBS.
FJORD YARN FELTS UP QUICKLY. I LITERALLY CHECKED THEM EVERY 5 MINS.
THIS IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE THE FELTING PROCESS IS GOING TO DETERMINE
YOUR CORRECT SIZE.
When you are pleased with the sizing (shrinking boobies), it is time to kinda play with
your boobs. Make sure to squeeze them thoroughly. (We don't want them drippy now,
do we?)
Take your “boobs” and placed them over your boobs so that you can eyeball where to
place your straps. When you are happy with strap placement, sew them securely onto
the felted boobs. You can now wet felt the straps by hand with just a little bit of warm/
hot water and some liquid soap.
Time to needle felt the girls...with your roving wool, needle felting needle, and the color
you have chosen for the areola, begin making a small circle right directly onto the felted
boob. It is up to you to choose the size you would like for the areola. When that is done,
it is now time to needle felt your nipples (ouch). Take the color
for the nipple (contrasting color, if that is what you nipples
look like - I used a lighter color for my nipple. It stands out
better - pun intended.) To make the nipple you just make a
tiny little bead like size ball with the roving wool. I just added
the roving right onto the areola and then started to make it 3D
and firm...it is kind-of like making a bobble, but out of roving
wool.
SEW BOOBS TOGETHER.
After both boobs are knit, seam them together by placing a
small portion of each boob’s right side together and seam
approximately an inch or two together.
DRUM ROLL PLEASE...
TIME TO ADD THE NIPPLE RING.
You can also add your own tattoos, preferably the pink logo
for breast cancer, but anything is great.
NOW PUT ON YOUR BOOBIES AND RUN AROUND THE
HOUSE, POOL, STREETS AND ACT LIKE A CRAZY PERSON.
( Oh sorry, you don't have to do that. That is just what I
did.)

This is a fun way to show off to your friends how many Carrot’s you have on your necklace, rings, bracelets or earrings. I have the cutest little tinniest, tiniest carrots made to use as baguettes to go around my One Carrot necklace. I will post pics later.

What you’ll need to create your own Carrot jewelry:

needle felting needle
roving wool (orange and green)
jump ring (I used an orange jump ring to match)
chain or anything to hang your carrot onto.
Styrofoam pad or needle felting pad.
If you are making a ring, bracelet or earrings, then you will need the appropriate hardware for that.

Here's how:

With your orange color roving wool and your needle felting needle, take a small amount of wool and roll in between the palms of your hand to create a worm like shape. Size is completely a matter of preference and what piece of jewelry you are going to make.
Then with a small Styrofoam pad and your felting needle you are going to start to form the shape of a carrot, easily done by starting at the thickest end and narrowing it down to the bottom, making sure to poke it until it is completely felted.
Then with the green roving wool and the needle, add the topper to the carrot by simply poking it into the top of the carrot to join.
*You can add leaves or a vine and use the vine as the necklace part.
Then add your jump ring through the middle of the green top and place onto a piece of leather or chain or whatever you choose.
Make a One Carrot piece of jewelry or as many Carrots as you like.

Brilliantly funny. It was the day before Thanksgiving and they were getting some last minute supplies. They are both in the produce section and he calls out “Baby, do we need some carrots?”

She: “No, we’ve got them.” (not looking up)

He: “Baby, how about we get some carrots?”

She: “Aaron, I already told you we have them!” (still not looking up)

He: “baby, how about a half carrot?”

Finally looks up to see the ring, starts crying. The manager came over worried about what was going on. My brother “We just got engaged in your produce section!!” manager gave them a bouquet of flowers as congrats.

I’ll have to keep the necklace in mind if you post a pattern. I think she’d love one.

Pass the Jeans Please

I am also including this little cool photo/note combo piece so each person that the jeans are passed to next will write something in it of why/what they did on the jeans and a quick picture of them next to the jean, or in the jeans or on top of them whatever.

I thought this would be fun… Here it goes…I am going to take a pair of plain jeans and I am going to mail them to who ever signs up for this experiment. The idea is for each person that receives the jeans, to either embroider, sew, bead, paint, iron, quilt, needle felt, design, etc. something onto the jeans and then mail them onto the next person on the list. You can keep the jeans anywhere from 1-3 day’s to create your design idea…Then mail them on to the next person on the list, and sew on and sew on. All in fun…If this is a successful Pass-Along then anyone who has participated in this project will be on the list to send the next pair of their jeans…

The more important question is, Why did I need to start a subject on a POOP chart? Why did I have to capitalize the word “POOP” in my post? Life’s unanswered questions.

CO 6 st. Join to knit in the round. (I used size 7 needles and Plymouth Tweed yarn)
Increase 2 st (8 st total)
Knit around.
Increase 4 st every other row until you have 16 st
Knit 3 rows
Decrease 4 st every other row until you have 8 st
Knit around
Decrease 2 st (6 st remaining)

Take the opportunity to add stuffing before starting the next lobe.

Next row, increase 2 st,
then increase the same way as for the first lobe, except vary slightly by doing more increases,
and/or more plain rows before decreasing.

When you have six st remaining, put yarn on a tapestry needle,

Pop Art Roll of toilet paper toilet paper cozy cover:
I found this on the http://craftside.typepad.com/craftside/april-24-30-09/ blog and would like to give her full credit for the pattern. She calls it Pop Art. I call it Pretty Darn Cute!

Pretty funny, hu?
To make your own TP cozy you'll need:
Materials
Gray worsted weight yarn
White Worsted weight yarn
size H crochet hook
yarn needle
How to crochet the roll of toilet paper cozy:
With the gray yarn:
Chain 4 and slip stitch to join
Chain 1
About 15 sc into circle and join
chain 1
single crochet around again, about every 3rd or 4th stitch do a second sc in the same loop. This will increase the size of the circle allowing it to stay flat. Adjust number of stitches as needed to lay flat.
Cut gray yarn and weave in the end.
With the white yarn:
SC around gray circle every few stitches doing two sc in one loop. Join each circle, then chain 1 and repeat until you have a circle the size of your roll of toilet paper. For me this was about 6 rows (circles)
For the side:
Chain 15
Chain 1 and sc into second to last stitch.
SC back into every chain stitch, chain 1, turn and sc back into every stitch. Adjust number of stitches as needed for your roll of toilet paper.
Repeat until you have a strip long enough to go around the entire roll of toilet paper plus a few inches to fall open. For me it was about 20 inches.
Stitch the top to the sides and then join the beginning of the side strip under the falling open end.
Weave in all the ends.

Pink decoupaged guitar

I loved making this $10.00 guitar scream "L@@K" at me. This was a plain guitar that was purchased at a fair here in Vegas. It cost a whole $10.00, the embellishments, pretty much free, I used pictures from craft magazines that I already had. The glue, decoupage glue can be purchased at Walmart or any craft store and Sealant gloss or matte. Sand paper is optional, but I recommend using it to prepare your surface so that the pictures adhere and stay better. The rest is all up to you. You can go with a color scheme and theme. Or you can just go wild and tear and paste anything that you think will look good. To see different angles and views of this sweet guitar, just click on the link under the picture.

This is the perfect time of year to pack away the summer and bring on the wooly. That is if you lived any other place but the desert. Although we do have somewhat of a climate change, we are still not hitting those low temps on the thermometers. I have been living in Las Vegas for over three decades now, and I swear I say the same thing every single year, "Is it me, or is it colder this year then it was last year? I think the real answer to that question is, "I am getting older, my bloods getting thinner and so is my skin". I dare not complain though, I would hate to put a damper on our wonderful fall/winter seasons. So the whole point of this story is that when I was going through closets and closets of clothes, I came across things that I hadn't seen in years. I actually found a dress that I loved and hadn't worn in at least 15 years or so. I decide I could really put myself in a great mood or I can sink my battleship. Should I dare try on this dress? I did, it fit, I'm stoked, and that dress ain't goin' anywhere. It is going to hang right there in my closet until another decade or so rolls by. I will post a pic of me in this dress, so you can see what I mean, when I say how pleased I am that the dress still fits.

HERE'S HOW TO MAKE THE PAPER DOLLS:

Print out all the paper dolls that you are going to use.
Then before you are ready to laminate them, cut them out, not detailed cutting, but just so that you can fit as many paper dolls on the page as possible. Then you are going to laminate them.
After all the dolls, wardrobe and accessories are all laminated, take a sharp pair of scissors and start cutting each piece out neatly. Make sure that you also cut the little tabs off that you would normally keep on if you were cutting out paper dolls the old fashion way.
Now with the reusable putty, add some little dabs to the front of your paper doll and then you can start to dress your doll with any outfit your little heart desires.

HERE'S HOW TO MAKE THE KEEPSAKE DECOUPAGE BOX:

Cut out enough paper dolls and accessories as needed to cover the inside and outside of your box.
Now you are going to add a coat of decoupage glue to the portion of the box you are ready to place your paper dolls onto.
Continue adding all your cutouts leaving the paper doll tabs on this time for the effect.
When your entire box is covered to your satisfaction, it is now time to completely coat the entire box.
Let dry over night, and then you can add as many coats as you like to give it a sealed, glossy or matte look, depending on the type of Decoupage glue you are going to use. You can also use regular white craft glue, but I suggest you add water to thin it out.
Then when you are sure that every inch of the box is dry, you can seal it with a Sealant. That is optional. I love to add this extra step, I love the look of this.
Now take all your laminated paper dolls and putty and fill up your Decoupaged Paper Doll Keepsake Box.

Famous Chicken Salad, NOT, but damn good chicken salad...

Recipe to my Famous Chicken Salad
Here's what you'll need:
Chicken (whole chicken) or you can just use chicken breasts.
celery
onions
fat-free mayo
garlic salt
pepper
*carrots optional for the soup broth when the chicken is cooked.
Here's how:
With a large pot, fill with water and add all the above ingredients except for the mayo. Cover and cook on a low light until the chicken is completely cooked.
Take the chicken out of the pot and put aside until it cools down enough for you to remove all the chicken from the bone.
With a large mixing bowl, add the chicken, meat only, making sure that you have removed all the skin, bones, and gristle.
Of course your hands and your nails should be spotless.
Take your onions and celery and with a grater, grate them on the smallest grate directly into the bowl with the chicken.
Add the seasonings and the mayo.
Here's the most important part, with your hands start to mix the ingredients until the chicken salad is the consistency of a spread. Trust me on this. Then take tin foil or plastic wrap and place in refrigerator for a couple hours to let it cool down and to let all the ingredients ferment. We love to serve on large fresh rolls with lettuce, tomatoes and onions.
The broth is perfect as a side dish with egg noodles to complete this meal.

My Big Fat Hairy Cacti...

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Yarn Fjord color Dk. Green
Mystique White by Knitting Fever

Novelty yarn for Desert Flower *Optional.
Needles 9 US (set of 4 DPN's) You can use the Magic Loop method or 2 circular needles. Whatever feels good to you.
Filler to stuff your cacti.
Darning needle

HERE'S HOW:
With your DPN's and MC (Dk. Green) CO 48 sts. dividing them evenly onto 3 needles and join to workin the round.
Round 1-25 Work 4x4 ribbing for 25 rounds.
Rnd 26 Decrease round: K2tog,(staying in pattern) k2, p4, k2tog, rep to end ending with p4.
Rnd 27-30 Follow the pattern evenly as follows. Knit the knits, purl the purls.
Rnd 31 Dec. round: K3, p2tog, p2,rep. to end.
Rnd 32-33 Work in pattern.
Rnd 34 Dec. round: K2, k2tog., p2, rep. to end.
Rnd 35-36 Work in pattern.
Rnd 37 Dec. round: K2, p2tog., p1, rep. to end.
Rnd 38 Work in pattern 2x2 ribbing.*Optional you can add eyelash yarn held together with MC if you would like to add to the topportion.
Rnd 39 Dec. round: K2tog, k1, p2tog, p1, rep. to the end.

With your darning needle sew through these 6 stitches and gather and seam through to secure thecacti. Cut yarn.
*Optional If you used wool, you can hand felt your cacti to had firmness and stability.
Take your filler and fill your cacti until it is evenly filled.

To cover the bottom of My Big Fat Hairy Cacti:

You will need your DPN's, pick up sts. evenly onto 3 needles. join.
Round 1: Purl
Rnd 2: P2tog to end.
Continue rounds 1 and 2 until you have a few sts. left.
Then with darning needle, sew through remaining stitches and secure.
Cut yarn.

PIG'S IN A "FELTED" BLANKET

My version of “Pigs in a Blanket”. You won’t be serving these little porkers at any cocktail parties,
but you’ll squeal with delight at how much fun they are to make.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
FLAT FELTED PIECES OF PINK AND CREAM FELT. (1 SQUARE 4"X4" PINK , 1 SQUARE 4"X4" CREAM) *YOU CAN MAKE THEM SMALLER OR LARGER.
2 TINY CIRCLES OF PINK FELT FOR THE EARS. 1/4" OR SMALLER
OVAL SHAPE PINK FELT FOR THE NOSE (YOU'LL HAVE TO EYEBALL IT FOR SIZE).
SCISSORS
NEEDLE AND THREAD
GLUE
BLACK BEADS FOR NOSE
PLASTIC EYES

PIGGIES IN A FELTED BLANKET WITH
A SIDE OF SUNNY-SIDE-UP EGGS AND
SAUSAGE…

HERE'S HOW:
Use the picture as a guide.
For the Piggy part you take your pink square and roll it from side to side. Sew together.
Then take the cream or contrasting color felt for the Blanket and wrap it around the Piggy (wrap like you would a pastry). Sew together.
Then you take the tiny pink circles for the ears and just pinch them and place a stitch to secure them so they stay curved and then sew them in place.
Now glue the oval pink nose and sew or glue the little black
beads for the nostrils.
Now add the eyes with glue.
There ya go, “Piggies in a Felted Blanket”.

No, you don’t eat them silly, you display them, anywhere you want. They are made from leftover wool knitted or crocheted mishaps. I can’t bear to throw anything fiber related out. I must admit I didn’t come up with the name “Cactus Cakes”, though. I was just calling them "Cactus". A fiber friend marked this as a favorite and said they looked like “Cactus Cakes”, hence (who says hence anymore) the name “Cactus Cakes”.

What You'll Need:
1. Long pieces of felted knits/crochet fabric. The long strips will depend on the size "CC" you are going to make. 24"
strips will make a decent size "CC"
If you don't have any pieces from past, "OOPS, I accidentally washed my favorite cashmere sweater".
You can also go to any thrift, salvation army, or your neighborhood garage sales to find old knitted/crochet blankets,
sweaters, etc.
Or just go through your closest, I'm sure there is something just collecting dust that can be felted for this project.
If all else fails, then just knit or crochet a flat piece of fabric using yarn that will shrink (felt).
2. Very sharp scissors or rotary cutter.
3. Fabric glue or needle and thread.
4. Fun fur or any brand of eyelash novelty yarn.
5. Beads, embroidery, studs, sequins, etc. can be added as well.

How to make:
1. Take your felted fabric and cut it into long strips approximately 24" long and approximately 1"-4" wide.
(Remember these are just suggestions. You can make your strips any length or size you want).
2. Take your first strip and now you are going to cut V's across the top border from end to end. Repeat this on all
your strips. You will need to make some longer and shorter then others if you want to roll one inside another in order
to be able to make them into different levels.
3. After you have completed cutting all your strips, you are going to roll them into your "CC". To make them stay you
can either sew them (I like to use upholstery thread, they come in many colors.) because it is extremely strong. Fabric
glue is another option. Either way is fine.
*Optional, you can add beads, embroidery, studs, sequins, or whatever you can find to embellish your "CC".
Make one or make a ton. They will bring color and character to any room.
You can also add them to headbands, or as a brooch, the options are endless...

"My Big Fat Hairy Cacti" Pattern:

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
Yarn Fjord color dk. green
Mystique by Knitting Fever

Optional* Laines Du Nord Opaline Yarn used for Desert Flower
Needles 9 US set of 4 DPN's You can use the magic Loop method or 2 circular needles. Whatever feels good to you.
Filler
Darning needle
HERE'S HOW:
With your DPN's and green yarn CO 48 sts. dividing them evenly onto 3 needles and join to work
in the round.
Round 1-25 Work 4x4 ribbing for 25 rounds.
Rnd 26 Decrease round: K2tog,(staying in pattern) k2, p4, k2tog, rep to end ending with p4.
Rnd 27-30 Follow the pattern evenly as follows. Knit the knits, purl the purls.
Rnd 31 Dec. round: K3, p2tog, p2,rep. to end.
Rnd 32-33 Work in pattern.
Rnd 34 Dec. round: K2, k2tog., p2, rep. to end.
Rnd 35-36 Work in pattern.
Rnd 37 Dec. round: K2, p2tog., p1, rep. to end.
Rnd 38 Work in pattern 2x2 ribbing.
*Optional you can add eyelash yarn held together with MC if you would like to add to the top
portion.
Rnd 39 Dec. round: K2tog, k1, p2tog, p1, rep. to the end.
Rnd 40 Work in pattern.
Rnd 41 Dec. round: K1, p2tog, k1.
Rnd. 42 Work in pattern.
Rnd 43 Dec. round K2tog to end. (6 sts)
With your darning needle sew through these 6 stitches and gather and seam through to secure the
cacti. Cut yarn.
*Optional If you used wool, you can hand felt your cacti to had firmness and stability.
Take your filler and fill your cacti until it is evenly filled.
To secure the bottom of the cacti:
You will need your DPN's, pick up sts. evenly onto 3 needles. join.
Round 1: Purl
Rnd 2: P2tog to end.
Continue rounds 1 and 2 until you have a few sts. left.
Then with darning needle, sew through remaining stitches and secure. Cut yarn.

FUNTTONS

I AM IN THE PROCESS OF MAKING MY FUNTTONS AGAIN…LET ME KNOW IF THERE IS A PARTICULAR CHARACTER YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE…

These FUNTTONS are light as a feather. I can make them in any theme you like. They can be made into buttons, necklaces, rings, magnets, pins, earrings, stitch markers, or anything else you can think of...
1. I first make the base. This is the button that I created many years ago. You can't imagine how light and airy they are.
2. Then you choose a design, theme, whatever.
3. I then take your picture/pictures, theme, whatever and create these fun Funttons. Both sides can be decorated. The front of the button is slightly rounded, the back is completely flat.
4. I can add crystals or studs to your funtton if requested. Then I lightly sand them to make sure they are smooth.
5. After all the art work is applied, they are then sealed. This is the longest part of the actual process. I seal them approx. 4 times for a stong seal and shine. Sanded once again when they are completely dry.
6. I can drill a small hole through the Funtton for you if desired.
7. Then I ship them to you and you can decide what you are going to use them as. The options are endless...
So that is what goes into the making of my "Funttons"

Your Panties Rock!

Don’t get your panties in a knot. Unless your felting fiber rocks...
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Bag of office supply style rubber bands.
Old pantyhose (if you use fishnet stockings, they will make a cool fiber indentation in your rocks).
Yarn that can be felted.
Washing machine with a HOT cycle.
Laundry soap.
See note below
*Optional, bells to put inside your yarn balls before felting them.

**Optional, I used rubber stamp/ink pad to use as a guide for my needle felted word "KNIT" on one of my rocks.
If you decide to do this technique, only stamp one letter at a time because the ink will smear while you are needle felting each letter.

HERE'S HOW:
1. Gather up leftover yarn that will felt. Enough to make the size rock you are seeking. Remember
that there will be shrinkage.
2. Make sure that the yarn you use is a natural fiber that can be felted.
3. Make sure that you wind your yarn into tight little balls or big balls, it doesn't matter. Size is irrelevant.
4. Then grab a pair or two of some old pantyhose.
5. Take the yarn balls to be felted and start to knot them into your panties like the photo's to the right.
on the right. You will need lots of rubber bands to tie them with. Make sure your not wearing your panties at the time…
6. When all your balls are knotted up, throw them into the washing machine on the hottest cycle.
Run them through the whole washing cycle to get as much water out as possible. If they aren't felted enough after just one wash, do it again until your satisfied with your rocks.
7. Let them dry. Completely… Drying time will depend on the yarn and the size of the rock.
Display them as is, needle felt them, or use them as a pin cushion. Whatever you choose. Your
Panties Rock!

Here’s the pattern:
Yarn used: Comfort by Berroco 9701 (Cream), 9755 (Red), 9720 (Beige), I also used Green
Needles: US 6 and US 9 Circulars 16” Set of 4 DPN’S US 9
Darning Needle
Extra Novelty Thread or Yarn to embellish the strawberries. I Used Tilli Tomas w/beads.

Hat Pattern:
With US 6 circ. Needles and the cream yarn, CO 80 sts. And join to knit in the round. PM (place marker) Working st st (knit every round when working in the round) Be careful not to twist any sts.
Rounds
1-10- Knit
11 – Add the red yarn with the cream and K1, Sl1, to the PM
12 – cream only knit even.
13 – red only knit even.
14 – cream knit
15 – red knit
16 – cream knit
17 – red knit
18 – with cream only purl
19 – with red only purl
Now cut the red yarn and using the cream only knit rounds 20-24, cut cream yarn.
Change to larger circular needles and using the beige yarn
25-28 Purl
29-32 Knit
33-34 Purl
35 – Knit
Now Decrease rounds.
36- K8, k2tog to end. (72 sts.)
37-38 Knit
39- K7, K2tog to end (64 sts.)

Using the red yarn and US 9 needles

Row 1- Inc. Knit f&b of first st, k1, knit f&b of third st. (5 sts.)
2- Purl
3- K2, kf&b, k2 (6 sts.)
4- Purl
5- Knit f&b next 2 sts., k2, knit f&b last 2 sts. (10 sts.)
6- Purl
7- Inc into 1st st and then every other st to the end. (15 sts)
8- Purl
9- Inc. into EOS (every other st) to end. (23 sts.)
10- Purl
11- Now add the green yarn and knit 1st st green and every 5th st. green.
12- p1 red, p3 green, p2, red, p3 green, p2 red, rep. to last 2 sts p2 green.
Now cut the red yarn.
13- Knit all green across row.
14- Purl
15- K2tog 5 times, k3tog, k2tog 5 times. (11 sts)
16- Purl
17- K2tog 2 times, k3, k2tog to end.
18- P3tog, p1, p3tog.
Now with the 3 remaining sts and 2 of the DPN’s start working your I-cord in green for 6 rows.
Cut green yarn and with the cream yarn cont. working your I-cord for approx. 10”-14” or desired length.
Repeat Strawberry Pattern for other side of hat.
Then mark the sides of the hat that you want them and sew them on…

Instruction’s for your “FFFFF” garden.
Preparation for your room divider:

You should first sand the area you are going to use for your “FFFFF” garden. I used a fine grade of sandpaper and lightly sanded the area I was doing as I went along. (I didn’t want open areas to be sanded and dull looking). If you are going to do any painting on the divider, do that first. The painting thought came to me as an after thought, I did however attempt to paint around the garden.NOT A GOOD IDEA…

I then went through all my mishaps, frogged or just unused felted knitted or crocheted projects from my stash. (thrift stores are also a great resource for old knitted/crocheted sweaters, blankets, etc.). *Important note: when buying used items that your not sure of their fiber content, please be sure to read all labels to make sure they can be felted. If there are no labels, make sure to test a section before cutting the fabric.

If you are going for a specific color theme, then try to coordinate that ahead of time before cutting and gluing your “FFFFF” onto the divider.

I then cut them into petal shapes for the flowers.(you can use stencils or cookie cutters for any shape you choose)

For the stems, I basically did the exact same thing, except I cut long strips from my leftover recycled wool and then rolled them and scrolled them to form the stems. You can also use I-cords to achieve a 3D effect for the stems or the flowers.

A FABULOUS WAY TO PLANT A GARDEN

I have OCD to thank for this one. Yes, I learned how to make “bullion's” and I decided to take about 50 skeins of Kureyon yarn by Noro and separate the colors. Yes I separated all the colors to make these “bullion's”. I know some of you may not believe this but by the time I finished crocheting all these “bullion's” I had over 1,000 beautifully separated color coordinated “bullion's” crocheted of separated Noro yarn. How do I know there were over 1,000, well one of my sons and I counted every single one of them. Then we separated them into piles of each matching color. After this long process, I still didn’t know what I wanted to do with all these wonderfully separated color coordinated crochet “bullion's”. I placed them in the corner and just looked at them for a while until I came up with this fabulous bag. I love it. I don’t know if I will be making any more “bullion's” for awhile, though.

Pattern from
ADHD KNITTING

There are two ways to create this bag.
1st Option:
You can recycle an old knitted or crocheted bag from boring to extraordinary. Just by revamping your bag to create your own “Bazillion Bullion” bag. That is how I made the original bag. The bag was a friends who asked me to spice it up, and well, let’s just say I went a bit OCD and I’m glad I did.
In the pictures to the left you can see the original brown bag as it was given to me.

Bullion Pattern:
Depending on the size of the bag you are going to use will depend on how many bullion’s you are going to have to crochet. In the bag I made I used approx. 200 bullion’s including enough for the strap.

After you have crocheted all your bullion’s, you will now need to sew (darn) them all together. I made 10 rows of 15 bullion’s across. Neatness or evenness isn’t that important.
When you have your bullion cover completely sewn together you will now sew it to the front of your knitted or crochet bag. After you have done this you will add a border of bullion’s in an uneven fashion to add that extra interest to your bag. (look at the border in the pictures to the left to see how I did the bottom bullion’s. I then lined my bag, (my girlfriend actually did the lining) she is an amazing experienced seamstress. I used two different fabrics to compliment the colors of my bag. Batik is the main fabric and then I used a Embroidered Sheer chartreuse fabric for the inside of the pocket. I then added magnetic snaps (optional) across the top of my bag and finished off the strap with approx. 30 more bullion’s. On the strap I didn’t bother to sew them together first as I did on the bag. I sewed them directly onto the strap itself. I could of done the same thing with the bag, but I found it much easier and quicker to sew it together first. I did not sew the bullion cover to the bottom of the bag. I like how it hangs. You’ll see when you do it yourself. Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions regarding this technique.

2nd Option: is to knit or crochet your own bag:
Here’s the pattern for a basic generic knitted bag:
You will need:
2 ball of Iceland Crystal Palace Yarns
US 13 needles straight or circulars:*

Actually you can use any yarn or size needle you like, depending on the yarn you are going to use, and the size you are going to make. The bag pattern I posted is just a Basic bag pattern to give you an idea. I also felted my bag just a bit to give it better structure and more stability. You can only do this if you are using a natural yarn that can be felted. Be sure to refer to the yarn label.
Bag Pattern:
CO 40 sts.
Work garter stitch for the entire bag until piece measures 20”. Then BO stitches loosely. Fold bag in half and seam both sides together.
Strap:
US 13 and Iceland
CO 4 sts. and work garter stitch until strap measures your desired length, and BO. I worked mine approx. 30”.
Sew strap to each corner of the bag and put aside.
Now work your crochet bullion pattern as listed in the tutorial link given above.
Then follow the directions above to complete your fabulous “Bazillion Bullion” bag…

"Indian River Poncho"

This poncho can be knit to any size just by changing the amount of stitches you cast on, and on the amount of rows you choose to knit.
You can use this basic pattern as a guide.

Here's how to knit this super fast and easy poncho:
This poncho is worked in three panels.
1st panel: With US 13 needles and any variegated (preferably hand dyed yarn)
CO-30 sts. wk. st.st. for 15" BO
2nd panel: CO 50 sts. wk exactly the same as panel 1.
3rd panel: CO30 sts. rep. as panel 1.

After you have finished all 3 panels you will now seam them up in the same order 1,2,3.
Seaming instructions:
Starting at bottom (pick an end) and on the RS sew panel1 to panel 2 for 12" then leave 8" opening for armhole, then cont. sewing to the end of the panel. Rep. this with the other panel. Sewing panel 3 to panel 2.

Now with the right side facing you, pick up 110 sts. across.
Bottom portion which is the part where you sewed 12" tog.
Work st.st. for rows 1-4
Eyelet rows are worked throughout rows 5-7 except on the purl side do everything purlwise.
Row -5 purl
Row -6 knit
Eyelet Row -7 work as follows:
Knit 1, k2tog, yo, k4, k2tog, yo, rep. to end.
Row -8 Knit even.
BO.

Top (collar portion)
With wrong side facing you, pick up 110 sts. and work approx. 8"-10" or about 30 rows.
Next you are going to knit the eyelet row as you did for the bottom portion of the poncho.
Knit one row even.
BO
Now you are going to make your fringes. (that's why you knitted the eyelet rows, the fringes will be knotted through each eyelet. I made my fringes longer on the bottom then the top, I also braided some of my fringes on the top (collar) area. Simple and easy and ready to wear.

The days are getting longer and hotter. That’s right….Summer isn’t far away! And we’re going to celebrate by having a Magic Yarn Ball (MYB) Swap. I am honored to be your hostess for this swap and am looking forward to our all having a wonderful time.

WHAT is a MYB Swap, you ask? It is just like any other swap except this time the goodies are IN THE YARN. It is a gift-filled treasure. Instead of making a little package, full of wonderful little things, you buy a skein, ball, or hank of yarn (50grms if you participate in the $10,$15,$20 a 100grms if you go for the $25). Then, you start rolling it into a ball. As you go, you wind all the little treats up into the ball! You can hide everything, so it’s all a surprise, or you can leave little bits peeking out to offer a taste of what’s to come. Then you ship it off…with the label from the yarn, of course! The goodies you wrap in might include anything from very special single buttons or beads to little sets of stitch markers, tapestry needles, or very special bits of vintage ribbon and fabric. 1. KNIT, CROCHET, FELT, SEW, PAINT ON YOUR BODY, CYB DID YOU HEAR THAT? “TITTY KNITTY SCARF.
2. USE WHATEVER YARN FIBER FABRIC YOU DESIRE.
3. MAKE IT AS LONG, SHORT, FAT, THIN AS YOU LIKE.

I'm on my new computer and it is so foreign to me right now. It's funny how you get so attached to your computer. I mean I love this one, it is so much nicer then my other one. I just feel clumsy on it. it will take some getting used to I suppose.

Nothing could be more fun then to run your fingers through tons of buttons and costume jewelry. I love these little treasures. I never throw anything out without first examining it's goods. I love antique buttons and appliques. I love to reuse, up cycle,re-cycle or salvage and redo already done items. I love the challenge of experimentation. I let the tiny treasures speak to me. I never know what will go where until it happens. T hat is the great mystery of design. Here is some of the wonderful treasures I just received from a dear sweet Ravelry friend.

What can be so difficult about making a really good cup of coffee. I have 3 coffee makers and yet I still haven't adopted the skills to make a decent cup of coffee. I have tried for years to achieve that Four Star restaurant coffee. You know the cup of coffee that is served to you after a really deliocus dinner with really great people that you enjoy being with. Whaa whaa whaa, OK forget the dinner the family the friends. I just want a really good, no GREAT cup of coffee...Is that too much to ask. Any suggestions feel free to post.

The True Missing Link…This project has been extremely interesting. I used the original “MY EX” pattern as a base. I then did all the facial features by needle felting them. I used roven wool for the hair. The ear plugs we’re made by using large size stitch markers (plastic) as a base. I then crocheted them. For the opening of the mouth. I cut a hole. Then I created the mouth, lips and teeth. For the crown around the base of the bag. I took a left over piece of felt and cut it in a long straight piece. Then I cut triangles on the top part. I sewed that to the forehead. I then took more roven wool and completed the hair piece. Braiding three uneven braids in the front. The embellishings are endless. Oh and I almost forgot the barbell nose ring. Now we can’t forget about that…The handle is being made by using the same tecnique I used for the earplugs.

I am so happy to know that the Curbing Kit and the PBS (pill bottle swap) boxes are on it's way. I always feel a bit overwhelmed when I know I have a time limit. I am the type of person that usually waits till the last moment and then gets it all done. Not with sales but with my swaps etc. So I have a great feeling of accomplishment today that all my obligations for now are up to date. How boring is this post...

It is almost dried. That is the pill bottle for my Pill Bottle Swap recipient. I have everything ready to go inside and with it. Just waiting for the sealer to dry. I hope she likes what I',m sending. This 2ND Annual PBS is a mystery exchange this time. I like that better. I think it makes it extra special for the person who is giving and receiving. I can't post to many pics yet, I don't want to give it away who I'm sending too. I will post some pics soon.

Just keeping things going as best as I can...I have been working out harder then ever, OK well not harder then ever, but more then I have been. Spring is here, and summer is just a few pounds away. Gotta reach the goal I set for myself this winter. I am almost there. Steady girl.

The Left Brain Is Alive

No words to explain how I did what I did yesterday. In fact even if there were words I wouldn't be able to write them down. Why you say, because I have no idea how I did what I did. Huh! I know that this will only make sense to the people who this will only make sense too. You know, those people, you people ( not a racial slur, ask me about that if you want to know what I'm talking about . That's another story in itself. Just mention San Bernadino, CA. Paintball tournament. Designated parent for a bunch of stinky teenage boy's). I actually came out of a Left Side Brain Coma. No disrespect to any person suffering or has someone suffering from a coma. I had to put that in. I just had too. I figured out an actual technical thingy on my Ravelry site. It took me nearly 4 hours, Adderall, and a lot of WTF, or HTF (how the F bomb), did I get here or there. I got there and that is the point. I probably will never know how to get there again, but I know that I was capable of figuring something out, that comes so easy to other people without a doubt.

Don't ask me why,because I don't know. I woke up at 5:00, thought it was time to go. I sat up and starred at the cable box clock. Thinking, my G-d, oh I must go get dressed. Running late will ruin my day, cause Monday's important. It is our TRASH DAY.

Dried and Chapped

My hands, that is. Today I feel as if I have accomplished a task that was so long over due. Not completely accomplished, but for sure put a big dent in it. My Mom and I rolled up our sleeves and pulled out bags and bags of yarn that was is need (and deserving) of being sorted and separated. I enjoyed seeing all the yarn that I had long forgotten about. I am so stunned at how much yarn I really had/have. I will be ready to post some of these yummy yarns as soon as my med's kick in again. Till that happens over and out.
